German police, terror and Tor admins. Read through the linked blog post. It looks like German police tried to bust a terrorist, but unfortunately only hit the admin of a Tor exit node. This is pretty dumb and bad news for everyone running a Tor or Jap node in Germany.

More about THC

THC is a non-commercial group of computer experts focusing on practical and theoretical computer security. The group holds a broad expertise in analysis, design and development of security solutions, ranging from efficient network surveillance scanners to kernel modules for operating systems.

In contrast to most security companies, THC aims at analysing and preventing novel, emerging security problems. The group fosters independent research not driven by commerical interests and paradigms.

German division

This is the German division of The Hacker's Choice. A new German law forbids the development and distribution of 'hacker tools'. We developed our releases and papers for legal applications only, yet we can not prevent illegal usage. Thus, we decided to split THC into a German and Freeworld division.

This web site does not provide any software related to computer security. The German members of THC ceased all activities related to development and distribution of software. We are sorry. Non-german members, however, continue research on a server outside Europe.
